CHOBA's Mission
Dear Parents and Students, Welcome to the 2008-09 school year with the Collins Hill Orchestra program! We have many exciting educational opportunities for your child this year. In order to provide these educational and team building activities for your child we have an association established to support the orchestra program. The Collins Hill Orchestra Booster Association (CHOBA) needs your support this year in order to fulfill the financial need involved with these events. Without your support these programs are in jeopardy. The annual membership fee is $75 per students (we ask for $25 for each additional sibling). Below is a list of what your membership fee covers for the entire school year. If you have not yet paid your membership, please make your check payable to CHOBA and send it with your student to orchestra class. Thank you for your support and please contact us with any questions. We look forward to working with your child this year and we hope to see you at our concerts!
What does my CHOBA membership fee pay for?
- Large Group Festival Fees
- All music and conductors scores for 5 orchestras
- Adjudicators, sight reading clinicians, and student conductors
- End of Year Banquet
- Senior Student meals
- Awards and Plaques
- Decorations
- Post Concert Hospitality for all students and families (drinks and desserts)
- Music Library Expansion
- Student Scholarships
- Maintenance and Purchase of School Instruments and Equipment
- All Programs for our Concerts
- Pre Festival (LGPE) Judges
- Web Site Development and Maintenance
